Peter and Chris Silvester, the new proprietors of the Mill shop on Audlem Wharf, have written to Audlem Online to say: "We are very pleased with the results of the renovation work, and we have had many complimentary comments over the last few days from both local residents and visitors by boat.

"Although the canal and needlework shops opened rather informally on Good Friday (and we have been very pleased with the number of visitors, including many from the village), we are having a more formal opening this coming Thursday, 12 April, at 1.00 pm.

"We would be very pleased to welcome any Audlem residents, and anybody else who sees the website, at this time."
