Audlem Online has continued to receive a number of messages and questions relating to the recent story about another long wait for an ambulance. The points made do raise serious issues which need to be addressed but as this was a case that ended tragically, we feel a more detailed discussion of the circumstances is not appropriate at present. Given the circumstances, we are sure correspondents will understand.

Here's a snippet that might get Audlem historians interested.Reading a book entitled "Tales From The Old Inland Waterways", there is reference to the fact that there was a carpenter's workshop owned by the canal company on the wharf at Audlem.
