The organisers of the survey on First Responders and Ambulance Response times are keen to receive as many of the survey forms as possible. They can be handed in at Audlem Post Office and Williams' newsagents.
Audlem Online has been told that a large number of the survey forms have been completed and returned. The survey is seeking residents' views on whether the parish councils involved should press the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) on key issues such as ambulance response times and training for First Responders. The more completed survey forms that are returned, the more local representatives will know if they are reflecting local opinion.
MeetingA meeting was held recently with directors and senior managers of the NWAS where the ambulance management was told of the strong views of local residents in rural south Cheshire reflected in the survey responses received so far.
Local representatives are negotiating to ensure that ambulances arrive in this area within a maximum of 19 minutes in virtually all 'Red' and 'Amber' cases, as promised by the NWAS' chief executive a year ago. Performances in recent months have been woefully below that promised performance.
In addition, the parish councils want to see the local First Responders receiving a level of training that will allow the local team of volunteers to attend a much wider range of cases than they allowed to at present.
The organisers of the survey therefore ask as many people as possible to complete and return the form. It only takes a few minutes but will be very helpful to the four local parish councils in negotiations with NWAS' management.
