AWEG was formed around 2010 and is a small informal group of amateur naturalists with a wide range of interests in all areas of wildlife and the environment.

We have group meetings about six times a year and also organise three or four field trips exploring wildlife reserves and other places of interest to the members, all within a reasonable distance of Audlem.

Our meetings at present take place in Audlem Village Hall Annexe and we normally have a speaker giving a presentation on some subject of interest to the group. Meetings are announced on AudlemOnline and are open to all, although we do charge a £3 fee to cover the cost of the hall and any fee or expenses for the speaker or possibly a donation to their cause. Under eighteens are free but must be accompanied by an adult.

Like minded enthusiasts are welcome to join this small, friendly and informal group.
