One AudlemOnline reader was sufficiently concerned by the infamous Co-op survey (see articles here and here) which appeared to suggest that the Co-op was thinking about opening a rival Post Office counter, that she wrote to the Co-op demanding an explanation.
This reply was received from Jackie Evans of the Co-op Customer careline:-
"Thank you for contacting the Co-operative Careline regarding our new store in Audlem.
"I have investigated this with the Operations Manager for Post Offices and have been informed that we are not at the moment looking at putting a Post Office into this store.
"We do have certain criteria we look at when considering the installation, one being the support of the local community.
"I hope this reassures you and if I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me."
