Audlem Cricket Club was founded in 1965 and provides cricket for local residents. Our home ground is Gorse Croft Farm at Bunsley Bank and although the ground is relatively small, the views are the envy of most clubs in the area.
We are founder members of the Cheshire Cricket Alliance and run two teams on a Saturday during the season, which runs from April to September. Our progress can be followed on either the Club’s website, above, or the League’s website, Cheshire Cricket Alliance.
We also have a Sunday team, which plays friendly fixtures most weeks. The object of this team is to provide an opportunity for players of mixed age and ability to have a game of cricket.
We reinstated our Junior Section in the 2007 season. A qualified coach, supported by other CRB-approved Club members, runs these sessions. All juniors between the ages of 6 and 16 are welcome.
We run a 15-over knockout tournament for local pubs and clubs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at 6.30pm, with a final being held on a August Bank Holiday Sunday.
If you are interested in joining, we hold our practice sessions on Friday evenings from 6pm onwards.
Spectators are welcome to watch any game and sample both the cricket and the views, whilst relaxing with a drink from the bar. Weekend matches start at 2pm, except in September, when they start at 1pm.
Sponsors are sought for individual matches. Should you sponsor a match ball, at a cost £15, we will advertise your name at the ground and on our website.
