Audlem station area stretches from Bridgemere in the East to Marbury in the West, Artle Brook in the North and South to the Shropshire border. The station complement is made up of one Watch Manager, two Crew Managers (Leading Firefighters) and five Firefighters and we attend about 75 incidents a year. The station is not manned on a regular basis as we respond from home when our alerters are activated.
We drill on Thursday nights and you are welcome to call if you require any fire safety advice or information. We are happy to arrange visits to the Fire Station for groups (of any age) who would like an insight into the role of a firefighter and a closer look at the equipment we use.
Could you be a retained Firefighter? Are you between the ages of 18 and 55, reasonably fit and with good eyesight and hearing? Would you like to help your local community? Do you live within five minutes of the fire station? We are looking for new recruits, particularly those who can be available during the day. If you are interested come in and see the Watch Manager any Thursday night for more information.
Cheshire Fire Service are currently offering free Home Fire Safety Checks and, when required, will install smoke alarms at the same time. If you would like to avail yourself of this service please call 0800 389 0053 and ask for the Crew Fire Safety office.
