Apologies that the normal announcement about the Thursday night Live Music at the Lord Combermere did not appear on Audlem Online in advance as normal.
The reason: a rather special Music Night where local keyboard player, John Gunstone, was the victim of a 'Surprise, Surprise' 30th birthday party. To celebrate this auspicious event, musicians from near and far turned up to play in the packed pub.
John plays in numerous bands and is one of the organisers of the Audlem Music Festival. We must also declare an interest. He is a member of the Audlem Online webteam and has designed this website ever since its launch over seven years ago.
The now not so young musician, we are glad to say, took the Surprise in his stride.
