Lead thefts warning

Roof where lead has been stolen

We have recently been informed of several instances locally where bits of lead have been stolen from roofs where the flashing is relatively low-down and easily accessible.

The advice is to check regularly any such lead flashing because of the problems that can arise if a theft goes unnoticed and rain gets into unprotected areas of roofs etc.

Obviously, if anyone observes such thefts taking place, the police should be informed.
