Many confusing statements today as the situation developed quickly. Here is the final word (for today at any rate) from Roy Plume
A525 Woore Road — bridge at School Lane junction.
The road was definitely CLOSED from 8 am till late morning as the crane was blocking the road. It was reopened sooner than expected.
The good news is all the blocks are in place.
The slightly bad news is the traffic lights will remain in place till Wednesday or Thursday while the blockwork hardens.
The worst news is there are problems with power to the streetlights so they may be a while before being restored.
