COMMENTING ON MOORSFIELD/TOLLGATE PLANNING APPLICATION
Time is running out if you wish to make comments on planning application 17/0774N for 34 houses at Moorsfield Avenue (although accessed entirely via Tollgate Drive). If you want to comment you need to do so by Wednesday 29 March 2017.
The Parish Council is objecting to the proposal as it is not in compliance with the Neighbourhood Plan and the site is outside the settlement boundary. Whilst the largest impact will be felt by residents of Moorsfield Avenue, Tollgate Drive and Matthews Way additional housing will add to traffic on Whitchurch Road.
The development will add to parking congestion and cause yet more pressure on the Medical Practice, who have already submitted an objection to the proposal. The site is adjacent to the canal corridor Conservation area and, despite a proposed buffer of planting, will be visible from the canalside and the Cemetery. Also, the site has been identified by Cheshire Wildlife Trust as a wildlife corridor and an area of habitat distinctiveness.
