Audlem Cricket Club

Tomorrow sees the start of the new cricket season – hence the threat of rain and single-digit temperatures!

The 1st XI travel to Holmes Chapel, who just missed out on promotion last season, for a difficult opening fixture in Division 2 of the Cheshire Cricket Alliance.  Then on Sunday Wilmslow Wayfarers, also from Division 2, visit the Gorse Croft for a first-round 1st XI Knockout Cup match.  Last season, the 1st XI reached the semi-finals of the 40-over competition and will be hoping to progress again this year.

The 2nd XI welcome Warrington-based Rylands to the Gorse Croft for the first match of the Division 4 campaign.  Last season the 2nd XI, following the previous season’s promotion, finished fourth and will be hoping to have another successful season.

Matches start at 2.00 pm both days, so why not take a trip to the Gorse Croft to hear the sound of leather on willow.
