Audlem Online has heard that a number of Audlem residents have received invitations to participae in the Channel 4 programme, Come Dine With Me.
The programme involves a week-long slog of four or five dinner parties, one of which you have to provide to the other participants. All hosts have to lay on a 3-course meal plus entertainment of their choice.
The winning dinner party entertainer is then chosen by all the participants with the winner receiving a £1,000 cash prize. It's a very popular show which is broadcast each evening at 5.00pm on Channel 4.
An element of comedy is added to the show through comedian Dave Lamb who provides a dry and "bitingly sarcastic" narration.
Has anybody in the village accepted this invitation? And what will they cook? The people we have spoken to have declined or ignored their letter inviting them to appear on the show. But, we wonder, has anyone accepted!
