Lord Combermere

A big thank you to all who took part in Tuesday night's charity quiz night at the Lord Combermere in aid of Thornton House Day Club. £201.05 was raised in total, including the proceeds from the Valentine themed raffle.

A special thanks to quizmaster Ralph Warburton and to Alan and Jo at the Lord C for organising and supporting the night. ADCA (Audlem & District Community Action) is the local charity which runs the Day Club and also the increasingly popular Friday morning Coffee Club for older people.

ADCA plan to use the money towards the cost of a day trip to Llandudno in the summer for up to thirty older people, who don't usually manage to get away to the seaside, along with their carers.

We at ADCA are always looking for more volunteers or people to speak at our Coffee Club. If you are interested, please contact me, Roger Millns on 811375 or Ronni Briggs on 07813281614.
