Audlem FC is back! The men's football team, which used to be huge in the village, is starting again — but we still need help.
You could say that this posting is more of a plea for help than a piece of news. Audlem FC needs your help! Although we have leaders in the team we still need the village's help. Running a team can be very costly — just ask Roman Abramovich.
We will be running fund raising ideas throughout the summer to raise money for kits, vital training equipment (eg footballs) and running costs such as pitch fees, training fees, referees, and the inevitable fines if referees are anything like they are in the premiership!
We are also looking for a sponsor for the team.
But here is something that is important. We want to keep it centred around Audlem — the majority of the players will be from the village and we want Audlem to be a big part of the team.
So if anyone wants their company to be printed on our shirts please get in touch.
We all know Audlem is great at running events and creating a great community atmosphere, so we believe that we can do the same. We also have major plans for the future once we get over the first hurdle.
To set up youth teams under the name of Audlem FC, make the football the most talked about thing in the village instead of fireworks, Shropshire Street parking, co-op queues and the new owners at the Bridge!
