The Carers’ Support Group operates from the Cheshire Carers’ Centre. We offer free information, advice and support to those who are suffering an illness, disability or who are elderly and frail.
We offer a “Drop In” session every 2nd Tuesday in the month at Audlem Public Hall between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm. Everyone is welcome whether they are existing or former carers, volunteers, new carers or people just dropping in to find out about what we do.
We share information, carer advice/signpost other services and support people at the “Drop In”, by telephone, calling in at our Crewe Centre or by visiting them in their own homes. We also do benefit checks and help carers to complete a variety of forms.
We provide a listening ear, a place for someone to come and have a cup of tea and a biscuit and chat to others in similar situations. We offer the carer a little time away from the caring role environment. During the past year at the Audlem “Drop In” sessions we have enjoyed a talk and demonstration from a Reflexologist, a Herb Pot demonstration by a representative from Reaseheath and a talk from a Nutritionist.
We also arrange “Events” which vary from 1.5 hours to half day trips out and about. Carers from around the Crewe and Nantwich area, including those from Audlem, have attended “Events” held at our Crewe Centre and trips to Reaseheath, the Trafford Centre, Welltrough Dried Flower Centre and many more outings.
