The Coffee Lounge is in two rooms alongside the existing Salad Bowl shop, one looking out on the village centre, the other on to the rear garden, where there is also some outdoor seating.
It is open Monday to Saturday from 9.00am until early evening. The menu includes breakfasts; Lite Bites; jacket potatoes; open sandwiches – with a wide range of fish, meat and vegetarian selections – and cakes and pastries as well as coffees, teas and soft drinks.
The Audlem Club Sandwich is three layers of lightly toasted bread packed with turkey, bacon, fresh salad and mayonnaise. The hot selection of sandwiches also includes Tuna Melt with cheese; Roasted vegetables and brie panini with rocket; cheese and ham panini and cheese and onion/tomato panini.
There’s homemade soup of the day; free range egg omelettes and tapas selections too.
We are pleased to be running the new OverWater Coffee Lounge (Open Spring 2010). The Coffee Lounge building has a prime position next to the canal with doors opening on to a terrace overlooking the canal and fields.
There will be comfortable sofas and a log burner for winter walks. All home-made light lunches and cakes and the same friendly service.
