DAHLIA - Allotments

The newly formed DAHLIA group is aiming to establish allotments in the village. At the present moment there appears to be a demand for up to sixty allotments.

An inaugural meeting was held on January 8th, 2009 and a committee formed, comprising Christine Johnson (Chair), Ruth Kemble (Secretary), John Tilling (Treasurer), Sue Davidson, Dave Griffiths, Jane Marshall, Geoff Smethurst and Jackie Thompson.

A Parish Council working party comprising Councillors Pam Seddon and Philip Bradbury-Smith has been working with Christine and Ruth to look at possible allotment sites in and around the village.
