The NSPCC helps families, young people and children, some of whom may have been the victims of abuse or neglect. The Audlem district committee, a division of the South Cheshire Branch, is a small support group of seven members who raise funds to enable this vital work to continue.
Our fund-raising activities have included coffee mornings, stalls under the Butter Market, quiz nights, a casino evening, marquee luncheons, cookery demonstrations, house-to-house collections, musical evenings and themed suppers. In 2007 the total was just over £2,000 and in 2008 we raised a magnificent £3,000+ in one night with a fantastic quiz event.
We hold our informal meetings in the members’ homes about six times a year, and new members would be most welcome. Anyone wishing to help in any way please contact us.
