ADCA

Following a public meeting in the village In October 2010, it was agreed to set up Audlem & District Community Action (ADCA) as a local charitable trust to take over running of the day club from Age UK. ADCA's bid to Cheshire East for the contract was successful, and it has now been  operating since April 2011.

The overall aim of ADCA is to provide welfare support to vulnerable and socially isolated adults so as to promote social inclusion, community participation and independence.

Day Club

For many years volunteers have run a weekly day club for elderly members who are wanting a social day out due to isolation or loneliness. This takes place at Thornton House, Emberton Place on Tuesdays from 10.30am to 3.30pm, including lunch and an afternoon of chat, quizzes and other entertainment.

Referrals

If you are a potential member of the day club, or the carer or GP for such a person, please contact Ronni Briggs on 07813 281614 in the first instance.
