OverWater Marina

Welcome to OverWater Marina. You can find us in the beautiful Cheshire countryside close to the award-winning canal village of Audlem, next to Bridge 80 on the Shropshire Union Canal.

We have a range of moorings - call us for availability.

Overwater Marina won the South Cheshire Chamber award for the best new start-up business for 2011. It was awarded 5 gold anchors by the British Marina Federation/Yacht Harbour Association, the first Inland Marina to ever receive 5 Gold Anchors.

OverWater Marina is on the Shropshire Union Canal. It is surrounded by Cheshire farmland, overlooking the River Weaver valley and is a 15 minute walk from Audlem. Much of the towpath has been improved (March 2011) and a boat service (Audlem Lass) runs during the summer months to Audlem Locks.

Audlem is a lively and well kept canalside village with a range of shops, tea and coffee rooms and pubs including the famous Shroppie Fly. The Audlem Mill Canal Shop runs a range of canal craft activities. A series of local walks are available from the Audlem website and as a leaflet.

Opening hours

Marina Office Summer Opening hours: 9.30am to 5.00pm, 7 days a week, open until 8pm on Fridays.

Coffee Lounge Summer Opening Hours: 10.00am to 4.00pm every day (closed Wednesdays) and open until 8.00pm on Fridays!

Cruising

The Marina is on the four counties cruising ring:

• approximately three and a half hours crusing time from the stunning Llangollen canal.
• accessible from the Llangollen canal is the beautiful Montgomery canal, 17 hours cruising from the Marina.
• the Trent and Mersey canal to the north can be reached in approximately 8 hours cruising.
• the Staffs and Worcester canal at Autherley Junction, to the south, is 16 hours cruising.
