Audlem & District Community Action — £9,594 for 18 hrs per week.
ADCA is a local charity company providing services to older people and their carers in the Audlem area of Cheshire. Our Coordinator works closely with our Trustees and leads a staff team of 2 Assistant Coordinators and over 40 volunteers. ADCA provides day clubs, coffee clubs, a befriending service, a medical transport service and support to carers.
We are looking for someone who is a confident, outgoing and friendly person, who gets on well with a wide variety of people skills. The Co-ordinator is expected to work without close supervision from Trustees.
You must have significant experience of working with older people and/or carers in a health or social care setting as a paid worker for at least two years or have very significant experience as a volunteer. Social care or health qualifications/NVQs are highly desirable. You must have an excellent understanding of and be sympathetic to the needs of vulnerable and isolated older people along with excellent skills in communication, organisation and nutritious meal preparation. You must also be able to assist people in a flexible and non-judgmental way, recognising that people have the right to live in the manner of their choosing. Use of your own car for work is essential for which expenses will be paid.

The post is subject to DBS clearance and a 6 months probationary period. The closing date for applications is 3rd July 2017 with interviews to take place on 11th and 12th July 2017.
